What a day for Indian cricket! What a day for Virat Kohli! What a day for Yuzvendra Chahal! and What a day for the great MS Dhoni!
This is the first Series win for India in Australia in both formats (ODI and Test). Each player showed a pure class of talent and showed fantastic cricket. This was totally a team performance.
Now there is no other nation where India didn't win a series. The biggest achiever and star of this series is none other than the best finisher of the game, yes you got it correct that our MS Dhoni. Dhoni played some of the best knocks in this series and made back to back 3 half centuries. Dhoni is also the man of the series for India.
Not only the batsman but Indian bowlers also bowled really well in this whole series. Mohammad Shami who returned to the coloured Indian dressing room after a long time and he bowled really very well. Apart from that even Bhuvneswar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal also cemented their place for the world cup squad. Yuzi bowled very well in the final match and restricted Australia at 230.
Australia went retro for this series and the scores also took us back down the memory lane. The 300-run mark was never breached across the three games, but every match was fought hard. Kohli is enjoying the game and proud captain having not lost a series on this entire tour and MSD wins back the title of the best finisher and the man of the series award without actually winning a Man of the match award. Currently, Teams are focusing mainly on the World Cup, which is about five months away from now. India has ten more games to try and test themselves out, while Australia has five more. The hosts will play Sri Lanka next for a Test series, while the visitors will travel down South-East to take on New-Zealand, who themselves are playing an attractive brand of cricket.
Now India has to work on two Departments:-
1st, India has to choose an all-rounder between Hardik Pandya or Ravindra Jadeja for the world cup team.
2nd, Who will play in middle order between KL Rahul, Manish Pandey, Ambati Rayudu, Kedhar Jadhav and Dinesh Karthik.
As always India is one of the favourite sides for the World Cup and this will be the best time for Virat and team to rewrite the history by bringing back the World Cup trophy in India again. But the biggest challenge for India is whether Hardik Pandya will get a clean chit or not from the court. Because Hardik is a very important part of Indian Team who is a great allrounder. But it's really bad that player of his level behaved in such poor way and created a lot of buzz and negativity because of the controversial statements he made on Koffee with Karan. Let's see what the board will decide and who will get a chance to be a part of the playing XI team.
